Teamwork

Some Practical Steps


  • Maximize staff involvement.  
    • Leaders must find a way to use their talents and skills and recognize each one's contributions.  Everyone must be accountable to something.
  • Allow for diversity.  
    • Rigid and prohibitive rules can only stifle creativity.  Leaders should consider all ideas and views of team members.
  • Be a role model.  
    • Leaders can take the role of playing coaches.  They can take the role of playing coaches.  They can show the qualities that they want to see in their team members.
  • Empower the team.  
    • Leaders can assign projects and tasks to team members to help everyong develop their resourcefulness and creativity.
