Some Practical Steps
- Maximize staff involvement.
- Leaders must find a way to use their talents and skills and recognize each one's contributions. Everyone must be accountable to something.
- Allow for diversity.
- Rigid and prohibitive rules can only stifle creativity. Leaders should consider all ideas and views of team members.
- Be a role model.
- Leaders can take the role of playing coaches. They can take the role of playing coaches. They can show the qualities that they want to see in their team members.
- Empower the team.
- Leaders can assign projects and tasks to team members to help everyong develop their resourcefulness and creativity.
