RATIONALE

The Instructional Media Center (IMC) which is located at the 4th floor of the Grade School Department Building is the place for the storage and production of AV material/equipment and the best of all, the venue for supplementary lessons using the same AV material/equipment.


OBJECTIVES

v  To coordinate the use of Audio Visual material/equipment for the classroom instruction.
v  To help the pupils and teachers develop desirable attitudes and ideas in learning and teaching through the use of modern technological devices
v  To aid the teachers in their need to supplement the Teaching-Learning process with the use of Audio-Visual materials.
v  To get acquainted with the procedures and techniques of utilizing AV material/equipment for the effective classroom communication.
v  To develop reasonable proficiency in the operation of different types of machines and equipment in audiovisual education.
v  To acquire skills in producing simple instructional materials through the utilization of local inexpensive materials.

  1. The IMC is equipped with educational media needed by the faculty, staff and pupils
  2. IMC offers slide/film showing for enrichment activity.
  3. Best projects of pupils are being displayed or exhibited in the IMC production area.
  4. There is a full-time IMC Coordinator who helps prepare instructional materials/equipment with suggestions for their use/care: and organizes the scheduling and use of AV equipment.
  5. Faculty members are involved in the planning and conduct of continuous in-service education activities concerned with the selection development, production and use of all types of educational media to aid the pupils and teachers in their need to supplement the Teaching-Learning process with the use of Audio-Visual materials.
  6. Stage decorations during programs and contests are done by the IMC upon request of the area in-charge.
  7. The construction of a Viewing Room which can accommodate a maximum of fifty (50) persons.
  8. The multi-media equipment is available.
  9. The IMC Holdings are updated.
